The origins of "Quinta do Mosteirô" are lost in the memories of time.
The original Manor House was followed by another one dating the eighteen century, this one at the request of the Monastery of Alpendurada so that the monks from the monastery could use the farm as a place for rest and relaxation. This, in of itself, speaks well for what one can find at Mosteirô - a calm and relaxing haven.
The quietness and stillness of the farm along with the beautiful views of the Douro River and its valleys remain untouched.
Today, Mosteirô is a refuge of exceptional beauty located on the right side of the Douro River where you'll find that all the amenities were created in order to provide a most comfortable, high quality stay while preserving the original character and architectural structure of the farm.
